Shoulder Screws

Shoulder screws (or shoulder bolts, limit bolts) are “screws with a step”. The head types are hexagon socket cylindrical head, slotted pan head, and hexagon head. There is a smooth and precisely dimensioned cylindrical step (called “shoulder”) in the shank, the diameter of which is larger than that of the threaded section. The shoulder serves as a shaft for guiding, positioning, shearing, and supporting rotating or sliding parts (e.g., pulleys, gears, bushings).
