IFI standards are a set of technical standards for the fastener industry established by the Industrial Fasteners Institute (IFI). The institute was formerly known as the American Bolt, Nut and Rivet Manufacturers Association, which was founded in 1931. It is now composed of industrial fastener manufacturers in North America. IFI works with organizations such as SAE, ASTM, and ISO to establish industry standards and promote international standardization and industry uniformity.
