Hex head bolts, or hexagonal machine bolts, hex screws, are a common type of removable threaded fastener, consisting of an external hexagonal head and a threaded shank. They are used with pre-threaded holes or nuts. Hex bolts are available in full-thread and partial-thread types. The hexagonal head design allows tightening with wrenches or socket tools from multiple angles.

Hex Head Bolts Manufacturing Process
- Coil: Raw material (carbon steel, alloy steel) for the manufacture of bolts, supplied in coils.
- Annealing: Eliminate internal stresses in wire processing and increase its forgeability.
- Acid washing: remove the oxide film on the surface of the wire, and surface lubrication to facilitate the drawing of wires.
- Drawing: Cold drawing of coiled wire to the required wire diameter .
- Beating (molding): The wire is cold forged (or hot forged) to achieve the shape and length (or thickness) of the semi-finished product.
- Rolling: Rolling or tapping the molded semi-finished product to achieve the desired thread.
- Heat treatment: Changing the mechanical properties of a screw.
- Plating: according to the requirements of the surface treatment, such as increasing the screw’s anti-rust, beautiful and so on.
- Packing: Plastic box, carton, pallet or customized packing.

Hex Screws Applications
Hex head bolts are widely used in machinery manufacturing, construction engineering, automotive industry, energy and power, bridges, docks, transportation, electronics, and home appliances.
