DIN 976 is the DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung) standard for fully threaded rods. It specifies the dimensions, tolerances and technical requirements for metric threaded all-thread studs. The ends of the studs have threads of the same size and length, and the entire bar is fully threaded, making it easy to cut and use in any position. Can be used with nuts and washers to play a similar role as long bolts. Used for occasions where longer threaded connections are required and ordinary bolts cannot be used.
Applications
- Used as a stud: one end of the stud is screwed into a blind hole in a workpiece, and the other end is fixed with a nut to another workpiece.
- Hangers or tie rods: for hanging pipes, cable trays, ceilings, mechanical equipment, etc.
- Connection and extension: used to connect two parts with internal threads.
- As raw material: short bolts and studs cut to any length as required.
