Types of Foundation Bolts
Foundation bolts can be classified into fixed anchor bolts, adjustable anchor bolts, expansion anchor bolts, and adhesive anchor bolts, among others.
Plate Foundation Anchor Bolt
Plate anchor bolts, also known as anchor bolts with stiffeners, can be welded in groups to form anchor cages, providing strong anchoring performance. They are used in high-load equipment such as towers, pressure vessels, and large machinery.
J Type Concrete Foundation Bolt
The lower end of the bolt is shaped like a “J” hook. The hook design enhances the bite force with concrete and provides good pull-out resistance. Suitable for medium- and low-vibration equipment (such as pumps and fans).
L Type Foundation Bolt
The lower end is bent into an “L” or “7” shape. It is cast together with reinforced concrete and anchored by hooks, providing moderate pull-out resistance. It is used for light equipment (such as pipe brackets and guardrails) or for securing equipment that is not subject to strong vibrations or impacts.
I Type Concrete Anchor Bolt
Straight rod type, with no curvature at the lower end, fully threaded or partially threaded. High shear strength but low pull-out strength. Suitable for static equipment or auxiliary fixation (such as steel structure columns, pipe brackets).
9 Type Concrete Anchor Bolt
The lower end is shaped like a double hook in the shape of the number 9, with performance superior to the L-shaped type. It can replace L-shaped bolts and is commonly used in tower cranes and heavy equipment.
Weld Anchor Bolts
Three J-shaped reinforcing bars are evenly distributed and welded to the bolts, suitable for precast pouring and towers with high load-bearing capacity.
