Hexagon head self-tapping screws are threaded fasteners with self-tapping capability. It has a hexagonal head with wide threads, a flat or recessed tip, and three types of end forms: tip, semi-tapered end, and flat end. These screws can be screwed into metal, wood or plastic using a hex wrench or socket.
Hex head tapping screws (or sheet metal screws) have a higher torque tolerance than other head types such as Phillips head, flat head, round head, and other self-tapping screws.
